Job purpose: Ensure all health, safety, environmental, and quality programs and policies for Tube Tech/IGS are adhered to. Promote, generate, secure small to medium size projects throughout the UK within all industry sectors, generate accurate estimate, quotation, resource planning and contract planning. Support SME/BDs by providing technical review for projects in eastern hemisphere, along with accurate estimate, technical review and generate technical quotation. Understand Tube Tech/IGS product and service offerings and how they relate to solving fouling removal problems for customer equipment and processes, support growth of strong customer relationships.

Reports to: VP – International Business Development and Technical Operations

Critical Success Factors:

  • Interact with UK clients and source new leads.
  • Conduct project review from technical information, so ability to read engineering drawing a necessity.
  • Accountable for supporting SME in ensuring that Eastern Hemisphere BDs are facilitated with technical information and quotations.
  • Understanding of Microsoft software, training given for Safes Force and PandaDoc.
  • Complete initial technical review, generate costing and quotation, plus project paperwork.
  • Provide the customer with information regarding Tube Tech/IGS’ value, differentiation and potential upsell opportunities.
  • Ensure profitable project execution through effective liaising with planner.
  • Performs all reporting and administrative tasks in an expedient and accurate manner.
  • Conduct yourself in a professional manner at all times through personal adherence and coaching of Team Leaders in the use of Tube Tech/IGS Values (the IGS Way).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Technical Reviews -

  • Review and establish client requirements.
  • Provide estimate & quotation with SME
  • Chase & Secure UK project and offer technical support for Tube Tech/IGS overseas BDs to secure contracts.
  • Review PO with CommOpps dept.
  • Ensure sales to operations handoff is complete. It will include R/A, M/S, Narrative, IHOM.
  • Communicate resource & equipment requirements (Narrative & IHOM).
  • Verify resource availability.

Post Job Execution -

  • Review and approve all project charges and total job cost.
  • Communicate project completion to accounting department and management.

Sales and Customer Support -

  • Support sales and managerial team as needed during estimating process including attending pre-bid meetings and inspections.
  • Scope and sell additional project opportunities while on-site.
  • Collaborate with other Tube Tech/ IGS personnel for ongoing customer/account management.
  • General assistance with corporate, operational and/or administrative matters when not assigned to project work.

Effort/Working Conditions:

  • Office-based.
  • Site attendance (UK and Overseas).
  • Willing to travel globally if required.
  • IGS/Tube Tech work is performed in a challenging environment in various client facilities, which includes but is not limited to refineries, power plants, petrochemical plants in global locations.
  • Possible challenging working conditions including exposure to hazardous materials, heat and cold, when on site.
  • Work on project sites is often performed in full personal protective equipment
  • Must be physically able to move in and out of confined spaces and climb ladders.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Technical or Engineering-based qualification preferred but not a necessity.
  • Understanding of IGS/Tube Tech technologies – further training will be provided.
  • Knowledge of Water Jet Operations and Safety Aspects – training can be given.
  • General knowledge of the operations and environments of power plants and petroleum industry facilities.
