The Role

Wolfspeed NI are looking for a Senior SAP Systems Analyst, Production Planning to join their SAP team. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary team who manages and supports SAP at Wolfspeed. Within this team you be responsible for designing and configuring SAP software solutions to help streamline business processes.

The successful candidate will be an experienced individual with the technical and communication skills needed to interface directly with internal stakeholders to administer and enhance the system. You will have strong experience with master data, configuration, and transactions supporting Discrete and Repetitive Manufacturing, integration to Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and planning systems (MRP and APS). In this critical role, you will have a deep understanding of cross-module dependencies (MM, WM, FI/CO). You will also provide technical leadership and mentorship when needed.

What does your day-to-day look like?

  • Analyze, design, build, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance functional solutions leveraging SAP Production Planning and other system integrations where necessary.
  • Assist in defining business processes and recommend solutions to help streamline those processes.
  • Analyze and understand SAP PP data to promote proper use of the system and to aid in the development of test scenarios.
  • Coordinate and lead user acceptance tests with various groups to ensure the quality of developed solutions.
  • Perform detailed analysis of complex business process requirements.
  • Configure system features as per business requirements and create documentation, including functional specifications, test planning and execution.
  • Implement advanced SAP production planning configuration to meet factory and planning business goals.
  • Establish optimal use of SAP PP data objects and structures (BOMs, routings, production orders) and corresponding master data, according to business requirements and best practices.
  • Deliver solutions that can be scaled globally and maximize value and minimize duplication of solutions.
  • Collaborate with Wolfspeed Support teams and business stakeholders to troubleshoot issues.
  • Support End User Training on new system functionality.
  • Advanced Ariba configuration and overall product knowledge and have proven ability to share expertise within and across team and organization.
  • Communicate and obtain buy-in from internal and external stakeholders for SAP Production Planning design.
  • Conduct research to identify new product features and best practices. Lead discussions to assess applicability to Wolfspeed business scenario.
  • Ensure legal and regulatory compliance is maintained for all supported systems.
  • Facilitate workshops to collect business requirements.
  • Track/Manage changes or emergency transports as needed for high priority issues.
  • Document functional designs, test cases and results.
  • Gain understanding of company products, functions, marketing, and/or service policies and procedures.
  • Proactively identify and propose business process and/or system enhancements.
  • Act as a liaison between the business functions and the technical team.
  • Act as mentor to junior team members. Grow, develop, and share overall SAP product knowledge and expertise, within and across team and organization.

Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5+ years’ hands-on experience in Solution Design, Configuration, Implementation and Support of SAP Production Planning with Manufacturing MES integration and a strong background in ERP application development.
  • Experience in integration of SAP Production Planning processes with relevant MM, WM, FI/CO functions.
  • Proven ability designing and configuring processes in Master Data Maintenance, MRP Planning, Production Order Management, and Repetitive Manufacturing.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Proven ability to deliver in fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of the reporting objects and previous experience producing functional & technical specifications

Nice to have

  • Hands-on experience with MES or PLM systems
  • Experience with SAP IBP or APO Planning, Quality Management (QM) and/or Plant Maintenance (PM).
  • Semiconductor experience.
