Location / Hours: This is a full-time position located near Newry, Ireland, with standard hours from Monday to Friday.
Hours: 40 hours per week, typically 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Monday to Friday). Some overtime may be required.
Main Responsibilities & Duties:
Act as the first point of contact for relevant departments, providing support in resolving any planning and production-related queries.
Collaborate with the Production Manager to ensure the production plan is optimized, maximizing the use of labour and equipment based on customer needs.
Plan and organize production workflow for multiple products, ensuring efficient and timely completion.
Regularly liaise with the production team to identify and communicate any risks to the schedule as early as possible.
Present detailed information on forecasted plans, highlighting trends or problem areas to improve production efficiency.
Monitor and maintain material supply levels to meet production requirements.
Ensure that relevant areas have a prioritized daily workload.
Work closely with engineering and quality departments to address concerns proactively and promptly.
Perform other duties as required within your skill set and capabilities.
Essential Requirements:
Proven experience in a planning or production support role within a manufacturing environment.
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively with different departments.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, to manage and present production data.
A proactive approach to identifying and mitigating risks to production schedules.
Desirable Requirements:
Previous experience in a regulated industry such as aerospace, automotive, or medical manufacturing.
Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and production scheduling tools.
Experience working closely with engineering and quality assurance teams to resolve production challenges.
Salary / Benefits:
Competitive salary ranging from £28,000 to £35,000, based on experience and qualifications.
