Technical Support Analyst – FIX Protocol– Linux– London [City]. A Global investment banking group seeks to hire a Technical Analyst in London for the expanding front office trade support team. The client is a major player within the investment banking community, proving sophisticated low-latency trading solutions to their internal traders and external prime brokerage clients. Due to the nature of the role, this role will require the individual to be based from the clients offices a minimum of 3 days per week - The clients office are close to St Pauls tube station.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Technical Support Analyst to work with front-office traders, gain extensive equities asset class experience whilst supporting an interesting technology stack.

The Technical Support Analyst will be responsible for:

  • Support low latency high frequency trading applications
  • Support, troubleshoot FIX Connectivity – FIX Protocol issues
  • Smart order routing, European gateway and exchange connectivity support
  • Algorithmic trade support
  • Work with front-office users to provide 1st – 3rd level support dealing with complex real-time trading issues
  • Develop longstanding relationships with senior stakeholders within institutional clients.

The Technical Support Analyst will need to have:

  • 3 + years commercial experience in technical support within the finance sector.
  • Strong Linux/Unix experience
  • FIX Protocol – FIX connectivity support experience is required - FIX Tags - FIX Logs
  • SQL experience.
  • Scripting experience – Python, Bash, Shell or Perl - Desirable.
  • Market Data – Real-time Data feeds experience desirable
