Job Summary

Responsible for all sales activities of Immucor products / technologies (i.e. Transfusion, Molecular and Speciality Diagnostics), from lead generation through close, maximising sales revenues through existing relationship as well as developing new customer relationships, in the assigned territory.

Manage quality and consistency of product and service delivery, working along with the Technical Services team for the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation and long-term account goals in line with company vision and values.

Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for the commercial results of the assigned territory (responsibility for minimum yearly revenues and profitability agreed with the Sales Manager, UK& Ireland as well as price and discounting strategies.
  • Assure the promotion and development of products and services.
  • Perform all administrative tasks as requested including but not limited to sales data analysis, CRM reports and ad hoc requirements as necessary.
  • Notify the Company of any claim of the customer related to the quality, choice and operation of products manufactured by Immucor.
  • Take steps with customers delayed payments and provide all relevant information.
  • Propose improvements of products or new services to comply with the customer or prospect’s requirements.
  • Act as primary interface between the customers and the Technical Services of own Country to optimise all aspects of the cooperation
  • Ensure compliance with Company policies, Code of Conduct, local regulations, sales and credit conditions.
  • Identify and prioritise sales opportunities, formulating commercial strategies and developing business plans for the customers in the assigned territory.
  • Monitor strategy execution as well as competitive tactics and strategies. Formulate alternative tactics and strategies.
  • Coordinate with the Technical Services, Marketing and Quality departments to accomplish the work required to close sales and to guarantee a high quality field service.
  • Handle price queries in consultation with the Sales Manager, UK & Ireland and / or Commercial Tender Specialist.
  • Work alongside the Sales Manager and Tender Specialist when working on a tender, attending relevant tender meetings as required.
  • Assist in the implementation of and execution of company marketing plans, such as new product launch strategies and CRM initiatives.
  • Implement best practice sales techniques, including CRM to enhance sales effectiveness.
  • Attend local trade shows, congresses and workshops.

Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position:

Batchelors level degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in an applicable role, with a minimum of 3 years employment experience in a related position. Proficient computer skills, including Work, Excel, Powerpoint, SAP and other corporate tools.

Extensive travel within the assigned territory
