Infrastructure Engineer (Project / BAU) Saffron Walden- Hybrid

You will be responsible for maintaining and optimising their IT infrastructure solutions provided to clients including technical support and infrastructure-related projects.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field/ proven experience in IT infrastructure management.
Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Linux, and networking technologies.
Experience with Microsoft 365 and Azure cloud services.
Technical Support:
Provide 2nd and 3rd line support for complex infrastructure issues.
Troubleshoot and resolve server, network, and cloud-related problems.
Maintain and update IT documentation and procedures.
Conduct regular system health checks and performance audits.
Server Management:
Administer and maintain Windows and Linux servers.
Implement server patching, upgrades, and security measures.
Monitor server performance and capacity, making recommendations for improvements.

Networking:
Manage and optimize network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
Implement network security protocols and best practices.

Microsoft Cloud Technologies:
Administer and support Microsoft 365 suite, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.
Implement and maintain hybrid cloud solutions.

Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions for virtual environments.
Project Support:
Contribute to the planning and implementation of infrastructure projects.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies to improve IT infrastructure.
Assist in capacity planning and budgeting for infrastructure upgrades.
Collaborate with other IT teams on cross-functional projects.

Assist in estimating project scope, timelines, and resource requirements for potential engagements.
