About the Role:
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a highly respected charitable organization as a Property and Asset Manager. Represented by Gilbert Meher, this role offers the chance to lead and transform the management of a diverse property portfolio that includes supported living accommodations and residential services.
As the Property and Asset Manager, you will be instrumental in developing and implementing an asset management strategy that aligns with the organisation’s goals and mission. Your expertise will ensure that all properties are not only fit for purpose but also contribute positively to the organisation’s charitable objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive asset management strategy. Oversee a varied portfolio of properties, ensuring they meet financial, social, and environmental goals.
- Performance Evaluation: Continuously evaluate the performance of property assets, implementing a grading system to inform decisions on redevelopment, investment, or disposal.
- Maintenance Management: Develop and manage a robust planned preventative maintenance program across all owned and leased properties. Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, and regulatory standards.
- Supplier and Budget Management: Establish and maintain preferred supplier lists for maintenance services, and manage property budgets, working closely with finance teams to ensure optimal resource allocation.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, providing expert advice to senior leadership and ensuring property solutions align with organizational needs.
- Operational Oversight: Direct the Facilities Operator to ensure smooth daily operations across the property portfolio, maintaining high standards of support and efficiency.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- Education: Degree level or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
- Professional Qualification: MRICS or similar qualification.
- Experience: Extensive experience in estate and asset management within complex environments. Demonstrated ability to lead corporate projects and manage stakeholder relationships.
- Skills: Strong strategic and business planning capabilities, including experience with digital asset management systems.
- Driving License: A full, clean driving license is required due to the travel demands of the role.
Desirable Attributes:
- Experience in asset management within the health and social care sector.
- Familiarity with managing properties featuring complex M&E systems, particularly those with BMS controls.
