The Facilities Team Leader is responsible for managing the facilities service and the onsite team. It is a broad role which involves building and maintaining a productive team and working to tight time schedules. This is a hands-on role and will involve working alongside the team to deliver the overall service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The main duties will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Managing and supervising contractors on site
  • Organising relevant paperwork (work permits etc.)
  • Organising security and access passes for building access
  • Ensuring day-to-day H&S compliance and supporting with any H&S queries
  • Oversee and co-ordinate DSE & workstation assessments for all staff
  • To actively participate in all on site H&S audits and assessments
  • Review service levels and standards being provided by all contractors
  • Overseeing and organising of general maintenance, which may include but is not limited to:
  • Decorating, general upkeeping and defects reporting
  • Heating and cooling checks
  • Repairing of fabric and furnishings
  • Lighting maintenance
  • Electrical and plumbing repairs
  • Fire system checks
  • Security systems (access control, intruder alarm, CCTV)
  • Monitoring of building management system
  • Assisting with minor DIY jobs
  • Assisting with office moves
  • Office porterage & manual handling tasks
  • Ensuring repairs and remedial work is completed in line with H&S standards and in accordance with relevant work permits
  • Assisting with the set-up of meeting rooms and associated IT / video conference equipment
  • Recording of information for inclusion in management reports
  • Ensuring all work is completed to the highest quality and delivery to the client in a timely fashion
  • Creating team rotas and ongoing team development and feedback
  • Carrying out HR functions for the relevant team members (absence / holiday management, recruitment / interviewing, daily briefings, regular 1 to 1s etc.)
  • Maintaining strong lines of communication with all your team members, Facilities Manager and Account Manager
  • Supporting on Facilities related projects, including at times travel to other office locations around the country
  • Identifying areas where the service & processes could be improved
  • Any other duties required as requested by the client or assigned by the Facilities Manager or Account Manager
