Office & Transport Administrator Job Description

CSS Recycling are the leading processor and recycler of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment in the UK. Through the expertise of our people and investment in modern technology, we promote and deliver a sustainable solution for the recycling of WEEE. Established for over 35 years, we have major contracts with local authorities, utility companies and businesses throughout the UK.

As a result of continuous business growth, we are looking to expand our team and recruit an experienced Office & Transport Team Administrator to assist the Office & Transport Manager.

Please note that this is a split role where the candidates time will be allocated between the Office Admin and the Transport team. This time allocation will be structured and agreed on a daily weekly basis between the Office and Transport Manager.

Qualifications:

GCSE Maths and English minimum.

Experience:

2-year minimum experience in an office environment

Experience within an account’s office an advantage

Skills:

MS Office Suite: Primarily Excel, Word and Outlook.

Displaying effective communication both orally and in writing, while possessing an excellent telephone manner.

Must have the ability to multitask, working on your own initiative with minimal supervision and having a conscientious and thorough approach to work.

Ability to successfully prioritise, manage time and resources, displaying effective organisational skills.

Have a flexible approach to work and display a willingness to undertake varied responsibilities, working alone or as part of a team.

Punctual, polite, professional, and courteous towards customers and colleagues.

Main Duties: Reporting to the Office Manager

Updating and recording holiday requisitions.

Entering Weekly Agency Timesheets.

Raising Purchase Orders for various departments.

Monitoring Stock Room levels.

Handle telephone and e-mail queries.

Assist with daily office operations as required.

Maintain an up-to-date filing system.

Updating weekly transport and despatch schedules in Excel.

Liaison with existing CSS customers to manage transport bookings & requirements.

Liaison with CSS own transport fleet and 3rd party providers.

Managing and tracking all fleet, 3rd party & fuel costs.

Participate in transport spend tracking and internal reporting.

Assist with daily transport team and office operations as required.

Job Type: Full-time – 42.5 hrs per week 08:00 to 17:00 Monday to Friday (0.5 hour for lunch)

Salary: Salary TBC per hour (negotiable depending on experience)
