The purpose of this role is to deliver effective attraction and recruitment approaches that enable JCDecaux UK to hire and retain diverse and high performing talent. The role ensures that these approaches are cost effective, aligned with our brand and strategic goals and create a positive experience.

This position is accountable for the effective and efficient attraction, selection and recruitment of talent across the business.

Reports to: Head of Employee Experience.

What you'll be doing...

  1. You will be accountable for ensuring JCDecaux attracts and recruits diverse, quality and high performing talent.
  2. Seek ways to proactively manage resource needs across the business and ensure that we hire the best people in a timely way.
  3. Effectively use our Preferred Supplier List and continuously ensure it is fit for purpose and drives down cost, increases quality and diversity of candidates through our agency partners.
  4. Follow our processes to set up new suppliers and ensure it is robust, auditable and meets our highest standards of ethics.
  5. Continuously evolve our plans, processes, systems and approaches to enable the business to recruit effectively.
  6. Work proactively to maintain tight control of agency spend ongoing, for example through effective advertising, utilisation of social media, effective talent mapping of the market proactively to maintain high volumes of quality direct hires (circa 70%).
  7. Ensure that all hiring managers have the essential skills, knowledge and behaviours to recruit and select effectively, legally and aligned to our values, for example through training, briefings and coaching. Ensure interview notes and feedback are captured.
  8. Ensure that the candidate experience from attraction through to on-boarding is aligned with our brand and enables us to stand-out as an employer of choice.
  9. Work with the Head of Employee Experience to deliver a clear employee value proposition to attract and retain the best and most diverse people, varying this as appropriate for relevant target candidates/roles.
  10. Ensure attraction and recruitment processes and approvals are documented, shared and adhered to by the business, proactively addressing issues.
  11. Work with business leaders to ensure they understand their critical role in attracting the best talent through networking and referrals.
  12. Ensure all managers encourage and make visible to current staff vacancies as part of their career development and progression.
  13. Work with colleagues to deliver attraction events and involve the business in these as appropriate.
  14. Deliver an online attraction and recruitment plan that enables the business to effectively recruit directly and significantly reduce reliance on agencies.
  15. Develop consistent templates, approaches and assessment centres that are legally compliant and effective in identifying high performing people.
  16. Track and report on diversity, attraction and recruitment KPI’s including time to hire, costs, diversity and effective recruitment sources to inform changes to our approaches.
  17. Use data driven insights to adapt and change attraction and recruitment approaches.
  18. Develop productive relationships with the business and build the confidence, credibility and capability of the team.
  19. Ensure you communicate effectively and problem solve with all People Team members and key stakeholders, managing expectations and giving constructive feedback.
  20. Work closely with the Head of Employee Experience and Marketing team to continuously evolve our website and attraction messages in line with our brand, vision and values.
  21. Work with the Head of Employee Experience to develop and manage new channels for recruiting diverse talent, for example apprentices, intern and graduate schemes etc.

Capabilities:

  1. Depth and breadth of successful experience of in-house attraction and recruitment.
  2. Proven success in maintaining control of agency spend.
  3. Experience refining and updating PSL and negotiating excellent terms.
  4. Experience delivering with impact the online attraction and recruitment strategy, including social media and company website.
  5. Experience managing a robust approval processes and systems that meet highest audit and ethics standards.
  6. Experience developing and delivering assessment centres, developing and implementing recruitment tools and training.
  7. Experience recruiting across field based or operational roles.
  8. Demonstrable creativity and resourcefulness in attracting high performing candidates.
  9. Must demonstrate confidence, credibility and capability and have highest levels of integrity.
  10. Strong reporting and insight analysis experience to promote highest levels of service and impact.
