As a pivotal member of the Transaction Team and working closely with our Transaction Director, you will primarily engage in analysing extensive and intricate datasets utilising tools like Power Query, Alteryx, and others. Your role extends to crafting innovative and interactive visualisations using Microsoft Power BI and Excel, crucial for both buy and sell-side transactions. Additionally, you will spearhead internal initiatives aimed at leveraging analytics tools to enhance operational efficiency.


Primary Responsibilities (data analysis focus only):

  • Rapidly assess, consolidate, cleanse, and reconcile voluminous and disparate datasets to identify issues and prioritise project needs.
  • Extract and interpret meaningful trends from business data and various other sources.
  • Proficiently design and develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to effectively communicate data insights to stakeholders.
  • Foster productive relationships and communicate proficiently with stakeholders across the organisation, irrespective of their seniority or technical acumen.
  • Cultivate a data-centric culture within the EC transaction team and beyond, offering support, guidance, and training.
  • Mentor and nurture team members, contributing to a dynamic learning environment.
  • Contribute to and lead the enhancement of analytical best practices and frameworks within EC's transactions business.
  • Drive improvements in the delivery of EC's transactional visualisations, while owning the visual style and narrative.
  • Deliver high-quality work within the dynamic context of deal environments.


Key Qualifications and Skills (accountancy and data analysis focus only below):

  • ACA qualification or equivalent accreditation.
  • Experience in financial due diligence data analytics, corporate finance or other professional accountancy services.
  • Proficiency ranging from intermediate to expert level with data analytics tools such as Alteryx and Power Query.
  • Intermediate to expert proficiency with data visualisation tools including Power BI, Tableau, Spotfire, and Excel.
  • Demonstrated experience in working with diverse datasets, adept at shaping and manipulating data.
  • Proven track record of delivering and presenting insights through data visualisation.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a logical approach.

We have offices in London and on the south coast in Chichester, with hubs in Tirana and India. This role can be based from either our London or Chichester office. Additionally, there may be some travel across the UK.
