About you:

You are a dynamic, skilled Occupational Therapist
You use a strength-based approach with the people you work with
You work with a flexible 'can-do' approach
You have some experience of supervising staff members
You can manage a caseload often involving complex interventions and can assist colleagues with safeguarding decision work
You will have a good working knowledge of Disabled Facilities Grants for major adaptation work, the Mental Capacity Act, moving and handling, and specialist equipment
You are able to develop links with local community health professionals, housing, district councils and other local services and are able to collaborate and influence the development of system wide working
You can support the team to meet the departments' performance and service delivery requirements

You'll need to be able to evidence:

Your registration with Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC)
Approved Adult Mental Health Practitioner (AMHP) or Approved Mental Capacity
Professional (AMCP) Best Interests Assessor (BIA) or Practice Educator or evidence of relevant post graduate study is essential
Your ability to work with people to reach their personal goals
Great communication skills - both written and verbal
Able to work as part of a team
Able to work effectively and be self-directed as an individual
Commitment and personal drive to achieve excellent outcomes for people
Able to use a range of information technology applications

You will be working on a 37 hours per week contract and we operate a flexible working time scheme around this. The teams have adapted hybrid working, where you will be partly office and partly home based.
