Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join our community rehabilitation team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality occupational therapy services to adults in the community.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment, where you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of our service users. As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating clients with complex and chronic presentations, including musculoskeletal, sensory impairment, medical, and mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the appropriate service for clients referred
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
  • Provide highly specialist advice, education, and mentorship to other staff and colleagues
  • Participate actively in the services training strategy, including in-service training, organisation-specific, and multi-agency training
  • Act as a key worker and be responsible for planning a safe discharge from the service
Requirements
  • BSc/Diploma in Occupational Therapy
  • HCPC Registration
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development
  • Relevant postgraduate education and training
  • Manual Handling, Safeguarding Children & Adults, Medico-legal issues training
