Purpose of the Role/ Job Overview

The IT Infrastructure Team is launching an exciting new project to transform our Wi-Fi and network management tools across the platform and the Technical Project Manager will play a pivotal role in the success of our roll out.

This is a client-facing role with responsibility for day-to-day operations on the project, working closely with the Senior Client Infrastructure Manager and our suppliers to prep our sites for migration. The Technical Project Manager will work with stakeholders at all levels from multiple teams across the business, deliver regular project progress updates and attend project meetings with senior stakeholders


Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting in delivering the project in line with agreed cost, timescales and to a consistently high standard across all sites.
  • Answer technical enquiries for clients and/or work with engineering team to source answers ahead of their site migration.
  • Demonstrate the product to clients and internal teams where necessary.
  • Manage third party contractors including, but not limited to, managed network providers, cabling contractors, security providers and our AV partners.
  • Engaging all clients to inform them of upcoming changes and upload them onto the platform.
  • Liasing in detail with Enterprise clients to incorporate their specific requirements.
  • Managing works within operational buildings, working closely with colleagues in the Operations Team to minimise disruption to Clients.
  • Feedback to the IT Infrastructure Team where improvements can be made to our processes which would enable a smoother transition for our clients.
  • Contribute to user-guides and develop a technical knowledge base for both internal and external users, continually improving the existing library.
  • Providing regular and accurate reporting to project sponsors.
  • Provide continual feedback to wider team to aid with improvement over the course of the project.
  • Ad-hoc weekend work per Project Requirement.


Knowledge and experience

  • Ability to work within multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous experience managing projects across multiple locations with stakeholders from all levels.
  • High level knowledge of network infrastructure including wireless networking.


Education and qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience in a similar role.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a strong, client facing background, preferably within a technical role.
  • PM qualification desirable.


Job specific and technical skills

  • Microsoft Office, particularly good with Excel.
  • Ability to absorb and understand technical information.
  • Ability to breakdown and share technical information with non-technical stakeholders.
  • Project Management.
