International Key Account Manager - Office Furniture
Location: London, United Kingdom
Reports to direct reporting line to Managing Director UK & Ireland, dotted line to SVP Commercial Operations Europe

Purpose of the role:
The purpose of the International Key Account Manager role is to drive the acquisition and growth of key international accounts within the office furniture sector.
This involves coordinating international project activities, building and managing key customer relationships, ensuring sales growth and margin realisation, preparing and managing international tenders, and developing a strong network with end customers, architects and designers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ambassador: Act as the ambassador and primary representative for the company with key international accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering loyalty.
- Commercial: Accountable for the acquisition and growth of International Accounts, identifying new business opportunities and expand existing relationships with key customers, driving the growth and framework agreements.
- Customer Relationships: Establish and maintain relationships with end customers and key stakeholders, ensuring the company becomes a trusted partner by providing exceptional service and strategic value. Leverage existing customer relationships to identify sales synergies and cross-selling opportunities
- Stakeholder Relationships: Collaborate closely with all stakeholders to ensure proper alignment and coordination of project execution are delivered to a high standard and in line with customer expectations.
- Strategic Planning: Develop International Key Account plan, focusing on UK & Europe initially, with a view to expanding into other international markets. Create and implement a strategy to acquire new key accounts and grow business with existing accounts.
- Coordination of International Project Activities: Oversee and coordinate project activities across multiple countries and organizations, ensuring timely delivery and optimal results for customers in various international markets.
- Developing International A&D Relationships: Build a strong network with architects and designers (A&D), ensuring the company's solutions are top-of-mind for international projects.
- Sales and Margin Realization: Responsible for driving sales growth and realizing targeted margins within the designated international markets. Prepare pricing strategies and oversee the negotiation processes with customers.
- Tender Management: Prepare and manage international tender documents, ensuring compliance with customer specifications and company standards.
- Market insights: Provide strategic input on market conditions, competitor activity, and customer needs. Participate in trade shows and networking events to stay informed on industry trends and build client relationships.
Skills and Criteria:
- Existing relationships and expertise international sales account management, particularly in office furniture or related industries.
- Proven ability to develop relationships and increase revenue in international markets.
- Effective communication, proficient negotiation, and compelling presentation skills; experienced in negotiating complex contracts and pricing agreements.
- Possesses strong organisational skills, adaptability, and effective time management.
- Experience building relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Strong financial expertise and data analysis capabilities.
- Ability to understand the nuances of working cross-borders, coordinating project and budgets between various countries and cultures.
- Advanced I.T. skills for creating high-quality presentations and proposals.
- Degree and/or business qualification desirable
- Willingness to travel internationally as required
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
