We are currently looking for a Despatch Section Leader Maternity Cover FTC 12 months


Making sure your line is highly effective and efficiently running. Ensuring your team are motivated and focused on delivering exceptional bouquets and that quality is at the centre of every stage of the process.

Working to high standards and in the most cost-effective manner, you will act as a role model for your team and ensure they are quality and customer focused.

Your shift pattern:

Rolling 4 on 4 off.


Core Responsibilities


  • Ensuring Health and safety is followed and adhered to.
  • Use the Papaya system to record all accident and incidents, as well as all health and safety behavior conversations.
  • Promote and uphold the clean as you go policy.
  • Manual handling technique to be followed.
  • Planning and deployment of the day-to-day staffing levels
  • Absent management and controls including return to works
  • Performance management of the team against set KPI’s
  • Management of the day-to-day receipt of Stock from various suppliers
  • Ensure all stock is palletized correctly
  • Ensure all stock received is booked in correctly before it leaves the intake area
  • Raise any consignment issues, stock code issues with the correct teams
  • Review stock arrived vs stock confirmed for arrival and ensure any discrepancies are communicated to the correct team
  • Accurate scanning of stock to and from the warehouse
  • Conducting/managing stock counts and investigations where needed
  • Manage the teams to ensure we have cover during the day including break times.
  • Support with the management of the INV process to ensure maximum stock availability
  • Liaise with the logistics team on deliveries that have not arrived within the allocated delivery time frame.
  • Working as a team with the other leaders on shift, supporting them to maintain stock accuracy and integrity
  • Ensure the team is trained on all the SOPs and processes within the area in accordance with the required the training team.
  • MHE control and compliance ensuring that the fleet is correctly operated and report any faults/defects via the correct process.
  • Ensure all MHE is clean and free from stickers and rubbish.
  • Ensure the flow of equipment returns is managed and controlled, requesting additional collections when required
  • Carry out investigations as required into issues that arise
  • Carry out 1-2-1 and yearly appraisal for the team
