About The Company


We are delighted to partner with a leading global financial institution dedicated to providing innovative and comprehensive financial solutions. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Structured Products Lawyer to join their new markets team in London.


About the Role


As the experienced interim structured products lawyer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting their structured notes business. You will provide expert legal advice, manage regulatory compliance, and contribute to the overall success of our legal department.


Key Responsibilities


  • Serve as the legal point person for structured notes issuance in Europe.
  • Manage legal aspects of structured products transactions.
  • Review and provide advice on proposed new products.
  • Work closely with business clients and legal teams across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Negotiate and draft legal agreements related to structured notes.
  • Support derivatives desk in reviewing transaction documentation.
  • Oversee external counsel supporting the structured notes business.
  • Advise on UK and European legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor the regulatory environment for emerging legislation and industry best practices.
  • Understand the firm's risk appetite and culture.
  • Contribute to a high-performance and inclusive work environment.


Qualifications


  • Significant legal experience working on structured products at a major investment bank or law firm.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK and European legal and regulatory frameworks.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
