the role |

the role will support our restaurant teams on all employee relations issues + work with the people team on key people projects + processes


key responsibilities I

  • managing employee relations- supporting + coaching managers on dealing with people issues
  • leading employee relations procedures (disciplinary, grievances, probation, flexible working etc)
  • working closely with the wider people team to identify manager training needs + facilitate er upskilling training to restaurant management teams
  • managing our people services help desk mailbox + HR chatbot- responding to queries
  • assist with benefit queries and process benefits for new starters
  • manage employee lifecycle administration in conjunction with people development administrator for new + existing employees
  • supporting the development of new people policies + updating any existing policies
  • analysis + reporting of periodic employee relations reports; engaging with people business partners + other key stakeholders to review insights on key themes and trends
  • support with handling any early conciliation notifications or employment tribunals, working closely with wagamama’s employment lawyers to provide case related documentation + insights

  • experienced handling high volume employee relations cases of all levels
  • knowledge of investigation, disciplinary, grievance, absence management + performance management processes
  • demonstrate knowledge of employment law + policy compliance/best practice
  • be able to work to deadlines and demonstrate a sense of urgency for resolution
  • experience of generalist people related processes, practices and administration
  • CIPD level 5 desirable
