Davies is currently seeking a Director to join its team on a permanent basis within our Banking and Markets Team in London.


The opportunity:

We propose hiring a new Consulting Director to strengthen our consulting practice and drive growth within the UK market. This individual will bring a wealth of experience, a strong network, and innovative approaches that align with our strategic objectives. The right candidate will help expand our client base and enhance our service offerings.

The consulting industry in the UK is highly competitive and rapidly evolving. To remain at the forefront, we need a Consulting Director who can:

  • Leverage extensive industry experience and networks to acquire new clients.
  • Lead high-impact consulting projects and deliver exceptional value to clients.
  • Drive business development initiatives and identify new market opportunities.
  • Foster innovation and implement best practices across the consulting practice.


Objectives

The primary objectives of hiring a new Director are:

  • Client Acquisition: Increase our client base within the first 18 months
  • Revenue: Generate £500k in revenue within the first 18 months
  • Client Delivery: Lead engagements without Partner oversight


Key Responsibilities

The new Director will be responsible for:

  • Leading and managing client engagements, ensuring the highest quality of service delivery.
  • Developing and executing business development strategies to attract new clients.
  • Building and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders and industry leaders.
  • Identifying and capitalizing on market trends to expand service offerings.
  • Mentoring and developing junior consultants to build a strong, capable team.


Characteristics

The ideal candidate for the Director position will possess the following characteristics:

  • Extensive Industry Experience: At least 10 years in consulting with a proven track record of success in the UK market.
  • Strong Network: A robust network of industry contacts and potential clients.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead and manage consulting teams effectively.
  • Business Development Acumen: Proven ability to develop and execute successful business development strategies.
  • Innovative Thinking: A forward-thinking approach with the ability to introduce innovative solutions and practices.
  • Client-Centric Focus: A deep commitment to understanding and meeting client needs.
  • Excellent Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
