Location: Offshore Wind Farm (Scotland)



Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead and manage a team of 8 document controllers, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
  • Develop and implement document control processes and procedures to ensure efficient management of project documentation throughout its lifecycle.
  • Oversee the organization, distribution, and maintenance of all project documents, including engineering drawings, technical specifications, reports, and correspondence.
  • Coordinate closely with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate document control support.
  • Monitor and enforce document control standards and best practices to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Implement document control software or systems as needed, and provide training to team members on their use.
  • Continuously assess and improve document control processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for document control-related queries, issues, and escalations.
  • Prepare regular reports and metrics on document control activities, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improv



Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Business Administration)
  • Proven experience in document control management, preferably in the renewable energy or construction i
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve excellence.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of document control principles, practices, and standards.
  • Proficiency in document control software or systems (Aconex, SharePoint, Documentum preferred).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stake holders.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.


Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach.
