I have partnered with a global client who is a private equity laboratory equipment company looking to add a new person to their sales team in South UK


This is an opportunity where you would be hunting for sales and finding new business across the biopharma, biotech, healthcare, environmental and laboratory customers across the South of England and Wales.


You will be responsible for 60 of the most profitable accounts for the company meaning that you will drive direct sale to key customer accounts and collaborate closely with them. My client has an excellent reputation for quality consumables and equipment going into the science industry, so it is important that whoever comes into this brand has product knowledge and experience in the territory.


This position is looking for an excellent sales person who is resilient when sales can be demanding as it requires the post holder to achieve set goals within fixed deadlines in a competitive marketplace.


Your background should look like:


  • Education – Degree Level Qualification (BSc) in a life science related science/engineer degree but will consider someone who has extensive sales skills and experience gained within sciences.
  • 5 - 10+ years’ experience in sales, business/business development or other commercial roles involving customer interface
  • Preference would be additional 4-5 years’ experience selling consumables and equipment directly to Academia Pharma, Biotech/Biopharma, customers.
  • Evidenced experience of hitting and overachieving targets.
  • Demonstrate a knowledge of sales techniques using effective questioning and objection handling.
  • Confident user of Microsoft Office suite and utilise of CRM systems on a day-to-day basis.
  • command of the English language, both written and verbal
  • eye for detail, time management & interpersonal skills
