Senior Account Manager

ITA Airways, the Italian national airline, has a rapidly expanding global network and subsequently looking for experienced, motivated individuals with the desire to get involved with passion and initiative as a Senior Account Manager. In this role, you will work in a small, flexible team and be able to make a difference in a varied, interesting role, where Sustainability is one of our fundamental pillars. In addition, you will be able to work on a hybrid basis attending our office in the Paddington Basin in London in accordance with business requirements.
Senior Account Manager
Job Purpose
Deliver targeted revenue from a portfolio, develop existing relationships, and scout for new business opportunities, driving efficiencies in the distribution.
Main Tasks
- Maintain and expand short and long-term revenue opportunities through comprehensive account development plans within the portfolio (corporate, business or leisure), as well as reducing the cost of sale and channel shift where appropriate.
- Identify new business opportunities and follow leads to acquire new business sources, with a particular focus on high-value revenue streams.
- Create and implement promotional tactical sales and marketing activities focusing on increased sales revenue with existing and potential new clients.
- Prepare commercial agreement simulations for review and approval.
- Measure and monitor the performance of the account portfolios on a regular basis.
- Provide regular market intelligence reports including feedback on client visits, new business opportunities, initiatives, and competitor activities.
- Represent ITA at trade/consumer events/functions and accompany educational familiarisation trips, product training and provide workshops in line with company requirements.
Education/Professional Background
- The right to live and work in the UK.
- Minimum of 5 years consolidated experience in a similar position in the travel industry, hotels, Travel agency, Tour Operator, TMC.
- Excellent (written and spoken) command of the English language. Italian is an advantage.
- A strong, analytical negotiator with the ability to build successful relationships and able to ultimately deliver revenue results, and contain costs.
- Web/e-commerce: knowledge or experience in this field would be an asset.
