Investment Accounting Oversight Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

As an Oversight Specialist, the individual will require to partner with Third party administrators and Key stakeholders across M&G. The role holder requires excellent people management and influencing skills, wide ranging knowledge of Investment Accounting processes and regulatory requirements.

The individual will have background in Financial Services having an understanding of Investment Accounting and experience of influencing at a variety of levels.

The individual will be part of an onboarding project with a new supplier and will require to be part of the oversight design and implementation of the new model.

Responsibilities will include:

Working on the onboarding of a new supplier and being part of the design and implementation. Act as a point of contact for all data matters relating to third party accounting records.To work collaboratively with colleagues and take personal accountability to maintain and enhance controls you are responsible for to support improvement of the overall control environment, customers outcomes and a reduction in M&G’s operational risk.Works within established frameworks and procedures, with the freedom to interpret them to solve a range of problemsMeet the required standard for the governance framework for oversight of third party suppliers ensuring they deliver in accordance with defined service level agreements and evolving with our businessAnalysis of emerging trends and issuesFurther develop the oversight framework and continual process improvementEnsure that all controls and procedures are documented up to date.

You will have:

Technical experience of the pricing and workings of Investment Funds and alternative assets Experience of different assets types and valuation methodologies Previous experience within an accounting oversight function within Financial Services Experience in setting up new processes and procedures Be able to deliver results in a fast paced environment Strong analytical skills Willingness to learn through practical application Accountant by qualification or experience
