About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Investment Accounting Oversight Specialist to join our team at M&G plc. As an Oversight Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the effective delivery of our services by partnering with third-party administrators and key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with third-party administrators and key stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of our services.
  • Develop and maintain wide-ranging knowledge of investment accounting processes and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide excellent people management and influencing skills to drive results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain and enhance controls, ensuring the overall control environment, customer outcomes, and reduction in operational risk.
  • Meet the required standard for the governance framework for oversight of third-party suppliers, ensuring they deliver in accordance with defined service level agreements.
  • Analyze emerging trends and issues, further developing the oversight framework and process improvement.
  • Ensure all controls and procedures are documented up to date.
Requirements
  • Technical experience of the pricing and workings of investment funds and alternative assets.
  • Experience of different asset types and valuation methodologies.
  • Previous experience within an accounting oversight function within financial services.
  • Experience in setting up new processes and procedures.
  • Strong analytical skills and willingness to learn through practical application.
  • Accountant by qualification or experience.
