Investment Accounting Oversight Specialist

At M&G, we're committed to delivering exceptional financial outcomes for our clients and shareholders. As an Investment Accounting Oversight Specialist, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our investment accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement new oversight models for third-party suppliers.
  • Act as a point of contact for all data matters related to third-party accounting records.
  • Maintain and enhance controls to support improvement of the overall control environment, customer outcomes, and reduction in operational risk.
  • Work within established frameworks and procedures to solve a range of problems.
  • Meet the required standard for the governance framework for oversight of third-party suppliers.
  • Analyze emerging trends and issues.
  • Develop the oversight framework and continual process improvement.
  • Ensure that all controls and procedures are documented up to date.
Requirements:
  • Technical experience of the pricing and workings of investment funds and alternative assets.
  • Experience of different asset types and valuation methodologies.
  • Previous experience within an accounting oversight function within financial services.
  • Experience in setting up new processes and procedures.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Willingness to learn through practical application.
  • Accountant by qualification or experience.
