Baby Feeding Specialist

We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Tower Hamlets to assist with the appointment of a Baby Feeding Specialist, on a 5-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £20.27 - £25.92per Hour

Responsibilities:

  • To provide information, encouragement and practical assistance to all pregnant women (antenatal clinics) and new mothers (on the postnatal wards at the Royal London Hospital) about the benefits of breastfeeding and relationship building etc.
  • To deliver a mixture of individual and group interventions with expectant mothers/mothers/partners and babies in multiple locations (in the home, at Family Hub centres etc).
  • To provide interventions with feeding plans where necessary.
  • To provide interventions with feeding plans where necessary.
  • To provide information and support for families who choose to bottle feed their baby. To provide information and signpost around introducing solid foods to baby.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs at pass rate including Maths and English.
  • Recognised qualification in Breastfeeding Support.
  • Knowledge of Baby Friendly Initiative and standards for supporting all families however they are feeding their babies.

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires an enhanced DBS
