Halfords is seeking an experienced Product Pricing Manager to drive our garages business, focusing on tyre pricing.

In our Group Pricing Centre of Excellence, you'll hone your skills with cutting-edge tools and strategies to keep us competitive.

In this pivotal role, you will oversee the pricing strategy for all garage products, from tyres to parts. Your expertise will be crucial to the success of our commercial planning team and broader organisation, ensuring our continued growth and market leadership.

Key Accountabilities

  • Oversee end-to-end delivery of tyre pricing.
  • Provide insights to influence pricing decisions.
  • Perform web scraping to gather competitive insights.
  • Maintain essential data sources for tyre pricing, including cost price averaging, catalogues, and competitor prices.
  • Lead tyre pricing meetings with senior stakeholders, making recommendations and documenting actions.
  • Execute tyre price changes for retail and wholesale channels, and support fleet price changes.
  • Model various scenarios using excel and SQL to determine the impact of suggested changes on sales, profit, and market share.
  • Ensure websites are updated by our pricing administrator with accurate tyre pricing information.
  • Produce analysis on trials and price changes as part of post-implementation reviews.
  • Analyse cost price changes to meet margin objectives.
  • Enhance processes across value management practices, aligning with retail where possible.
  • Automate data flows to reduce manual intervention.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Pricing Management: Proven experience in managing product pricing, preferably in the automotive or retail industries
  • Data Analysis: Proficient in working with large datasets to make fact-based decisions
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical mindset with experience in data analysis, and visualisation. Proficiency in using analytics tools such as Excel, SQL & Power BI
  • Attention to detail: Ensuring accuracy in pricing, data, and analysis
  • Automation and Process Improvement: Experience in automating data flows and improving pricing processes.
