A global leader in quantitative trading seeks a Python Quant Developer to join one of its trading teams in London. The role involves enhancing existing capabilities, increasing the robustness of live trading, and improving research frameworks.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute new software components for live trading and research.
- Design and extend data-intensive ETL pipelines.
- Profile and optimize codebase performance.
- Build and maintain continuous integration pipelines.
- Enhance system stability and observability with monitoring and alerting.
- Quickly iterate with quantitative researchers to improve trading strategies' P&L.
- Develop and improve Python tools and simulation/backtest frameworks.
- Monitor and maintain quantitative research jobs.
- Support the global research team with EMEA-related research.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of commercial experience with core Python and statistical libraries (NumPy, Pandas, Polars).
- Experience with a strongly typed programming language (ideally C++).
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork abilities in a fast-paced, collaborative, and distributed environment.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with scripting languages such as Bash.
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform.
- Knowledge of workflow management and task scheduling.
- Understanding of Equities and Equity Derivatives trading.
