Job Summary

Drive the identification and delivery of learning and development needs in order to support the Talent Development strategy.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver

Deliver training to all functional groups, including induction, to junior levels and some senior leaders Uses early facilitation skills to flex style and respond to audience requirements Upskills managers and Human Resources Business Partners in delivery Provides one to one coaching support to associates and junior managers Provides support for team interventions where appropriate Participates in assessment and development centre activity linked to Talent Development strategy Implements agreed evaluation strategy and makes recommendations for change Identifies and responds to individual and group development needs Makes recommendations & suggestions to improve learning materials

Design

Designs and creates solutions in partnership with nominated functional experts Produces materials that appeal to multiple learning styles Adapts materials to fit audience and need Manages third party suppliers Inputs into functional decision making

Project Work

Takes accountability for prioritising project work and flexes time accordingly Takes responsibility for a workstream within a project team Finds own solutions to keep projects on track

Business Partnering

Acts as a consultant to managers in all areas of Learning & Development

Key Skills, Knowledge & Experience

Pragmatic and commercially focused approach to providing Learning & Development solutions High level of personal integrity Influencing and partnering skills, able to build and sustain relationships at multiple levels Uses early consultation skills when working with subject matter experts Early facilitation and coaching skills Demonstrates early leadership skills when involved in project work Fluent in the principles of learning & development design Able to work on own and as part of a team Readily seeks and gives timely feedback Good written and verbal communication skills Resilient and able to deal with ambiguity Well-organised but flexible and able to respond to changing priorities Energetic and able to work well in a busy environment Proactive self starter Curious with an appetite for knowledge Actively pursues own self-development Demonstrates a passion for business and learning Proven Learning and Development experience Graduate calibre with relevant Learning and Development qualification Experience in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment, preferably within Retail Experience of delivering individual and group learning and development solutions Experience of the fundamentals of different learning methodologies Proficient in written and verbal English Willing to travel on a regular basis across Europe
