Job summary

We are excited to announce that following a restructure, we are looking for a Lead Nurse to join the Unplanned Care Division, the role will cover our Medical wards, medical specialities and will include the management and development of our specialist nurses.

We therefore require a knowledgeable, credible, and dynamic Nurse who can demonstrate experience in delivering outstanding clinical services, has a proven track record on delivering quality improvements in nursing and integrated teams and be passionate about working as a collaborative leader within the organisation.

Main duties of the job

Provide, credible, visible, and effective Leadership to the Nursing teams

Have a proven track record of delivering quality improvements in nursing care

Develop relationships with key stakeholders across the organisation

Support the implementation of Criteria Led Discharge

Support the development of policies and procedures and ensure policies are embedded in practice

Participate in risk assessment and promotes the safety and well-being of patients, staff and any other persons at all times

About us

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute Hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon and offers a wide range of services including accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services. The Trust's services at Mount Vernon Hospital include routine day surgery, delivered at a modern treatment centre, a minor injuries unit and outpatient clinics.

Ensure that all complaints, untoward incidents, accidents and areas of clinical risk are identified and managed according to Trust policies

Manage Annual appraisals and 1:1s, setting clear objectives

Support Matrons with delivery of their KPIs

Support improvement planning and preparation for external inspections
