The Finance function of Tata Steel Europe is in the process of implementing a new structure, which is aligned with and can effectively support the new company-operating model. This includes delivering a world-class accounting, operational and analytical reporting service to UK and overseas subsidiaries from a centralised department in Port Talbot.

As a Senior Reporting Accountant with Tata Steel UK you will gain an overview of the business and be expected to address technical accounting issues associated with the business transition towards the Electric Arc Furnace and the production of greener steel.

You’ll be a key part of the Finance Department within Tata Steel UK where we recently implemented a new state of the art SAP Central Finance and Group Reporting system which has created a number of changes in the Finance processes and has the potential to deliver further future improvements for the business.

As you develop into the role of a Senior Reporting Accountant, the opportunity to work within other varied areas of the Finance function will form part of your continuous improvement.

  • Qualified accountant
  • Interested in the technical side of accounting , ideally through a Practice experience but not essential
  • Flexible approach to working in regards to Quarterly reporting needs of the business
  • A good understanding of SAP Reporting
  • Teamworking
  • Decision Making
