Docking Ward is a Surgical Ward specialising in Vascular Surgery. We are a friendly and welcoming team who are committed to ensuring we provide the highest standard of care to patients on the ward.

We are looking for somebody who is enthusiastic and highly motivated, strives to improve patient experience, leads by example and is a positive and influential role model to the team. The successful candidate will work alongside the Ward Manager and current Deputy sisters to develop managerial/ leadership skills including, recruitment, retention, management of staff, attendance management, and clinical audit.

Post holder will be expected to work a varied shift pattern which will include nights and weekends.

Main duties of the job

To be responsible for promoting and implementing practice conducive to the development of high quality patient care, by providing professional, clinical and managerial leadership. Support to complete the SCEC Band 6 competency and progress in leadership Dedicated Band 6 study days within the division You will be adaptable and ambitious, and will help lead on development and delivery of high standards of nursing care

Job responsibilities
