About the role
You will join RIS at a particularly exciting time. UCL has launched its five-year strategy in which RIS is playing a key role. We are investing in a number of strategic programmes within RIS, bringing in additional capacity, expertise, and development opportunities, which will contribute to enhancing the University’s research environment and impact.
You will coordinate a portfolio of projects including both strategic and continuous improvement activities within RIS. You will help identify opportunities to improve the services offered to UCL academics and professional service staff, by developing and delivering required solutions.
A key aspect to the role is to develop working relationships with key stakeholders to ensure their business needs are met. Stakeholders include RIS leadership team, Departmental Managers and their research support staff, relevant Change and Improvement teams, and most importantly our academic community.

About you
You will have experience of capturing and developing business requirements with an ability to prioritise, as well as delivering process or service improvement in a previous role. You will be able to apply evaluation approaches and lessons learned – with the ability to identify the effectiveness of improvements.
You will bring to the role experience of developing and implementing end to end business processes and understanding their impact on other service functions. You will bring knowledge and experience of understanding and creating procedures, policies and guidance, as well as experience of using continuous improvement tools, techniques, and methodologies to deliver measurable benefits to an organisation.
You will be able to foster positive relationships both within and outside of the department, and proactively work with senior managers across the University to achieve key deliverables. You are passionate about service improvement and delivering change.
