DescriptionReporting to the Head of FP&A, as a Financial Analyst, you'll contribute to Progeny’s financial performance, offer analytical insights, and enable effective decision-making across the business. From preparing and analysing financial data to maintaining vital financial models, you will play an integral role in developing annual budgets, business performance reports, and quarterly forecasts, enabling the evaluation of strategic initiatives and supporting future business growth. 

Working collaboratively with other Finance professionals and key stakeholders across the wider business, you will develop a strong understanding of our business objectives and provide key financial support and guidance across a variety of strategic projects, whilst driving the continuous improvement of processes, systems, and reporting capabilities. 

Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Planning and Analysis:·       Support the preparation and analysis of financial data integral to the development of annual budgets, quarterly forecasts etc. Conducting in-depth analysis of specific areas and providing insightful financial and operational reports, highlighting key metrics and performance indicators.

Financial Modelling:·       Support the development and maintenance of financial models to forecast future business growth and work collaboratively to gather data and inputs to conduct scenario modelling and sensitivity analysis.

Business Partnering:·       Work closely with the Head of FP&A, Finance Business Partners, and key stakeholders across the wider business to understand business objectives and provide financial support and guidance.

Continuous Improvement:·       Contribute to ongoing efforts to enhance financial processes, systems, and reporting capabilities and conduct ad hoc financial analysis, presentations, and special projects as required.

Financial / Operational Reporting·       Support in the preparation of monthly reporting providing insightful information to management regarding financial and operational KPI data, analysing business trends and performance.
 
 

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise·       Part-qualified candidate currently pursuing professional finance qualifications (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).·       Proven experience in a financial analysis role, preferably within the financial services industry.·       Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial modelling techniques.·       Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial planning software; experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is preferred.·       Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and develop actionable insight.·       Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
