We are looking for an experienced and passionate Mental Health Recovery Worker to work as part of our Swindon Services, Bath Road.

1 x 35 hour opportunity available – Rota Basis

Our Bath Road service is a CQC Registered home that provides long term accommodation to up to ten people with severe and enduring mental health problems. Bath Road provides support with daily living skills, personal care, finances and rehabilitation as well as encouragement to engage with the local community.

How you will make a difference:

As a Mental Health Recovery Worker, you'll assist individuals with mental illness in rebuilding confidence and engaging in daily activities. You'll work closely with service users to help them achieve personal goals and access necessary support on their recovery journey.

  • Provide key worker support, including one-on-one guidance and coordination with mental health agencies.
  • Focus on individual needs, utilising communication, motivation, and coaching to help service users reach their goals.
  • Build respectful, honest relationships while maintaining professional boundaries and adhering to the Rethink Mental Illness Code of Conduct.

Essential experience, skills required for this role:

  • I have transferable life/work experience to apply to this role.
  • Experience of providing support to people with a mental illness; or experience of providing care and/or support services within another social care setting in either a paid or voluntary capacity.
  • I am a good listener, empathetic, understanding, kind, patient and willing to learn
  • I can demonstrate behaviours consistent with the values of the Charity.
  • Experience of providing support to people with a mental illness; or experience of providing care and/or support services within another social care setting in either a paid or voluntary capacity.
  • Experience of working with digital systems including Microsoft applications, email and internet. 

ROTA AND SHIFT PATTERN: 5-week rolling rota consisting of 5 shifts per week, including one sleep-in. Minimum of 3 working weekends. Shifts: 8am-4pm, 2pm-10pm, 2pm-11pm (sleep-in), 7am-1pm
