We are looking for an experienced and passionate BANK Mental Health Recovery Worker to work as part of our Swindon Service.
Bruddel Grove is a CQC registered wellbeing house providing short term support for five people experiencing low to moderate mental health crisis. The goal is to offer an alternative to an acute inpatient admission and a period of support for people leaving hospital before returning home.
How you will make a difference:
As a BANK Mental Health Recovery Worker, you'll assist individuals with mental illness in rebuilding confidence and engaging in daily activities. You'll work closely with service users to help them achieve personal goals and access necessary support on their recovery journey.
- Provide key worker support, including one-on-one guidance and coordination with mental health agencies.
- Focus on individual needs, utilising communication, motivation, and coaching to help service users reach their goals.
- Build respectful, honest relationships while maintaining professional boundaries and adhering to the Rethink Mental Illness Code of Conduct.
Essential experience, skills required for this role:
- I have transferable life/work experience to apply to this role.
- Experience of providing support to people with a mental illness; or experience of providing care and/or support services within another social care setting in either a paid or voluntary capacity.
- I am a good listener, empathetic, understanding, kind, patient and willing to learn
- I can demonstrate behaviours consistent with the values of the Charity.
- Experience of providing support to people with a mental illness; or experience of providing care and/or support services within another social care setting in either a paid or voluntary capacity.
- Experience of working with digital systems including Microsoft applications, email and internet.
