About the Role:

Teaching Personnel is excited to announce an opportunity for a passionate and committed Graduate Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a dynamic secondary school in Basingstoke. This full-time, long-term position will begin in September 2024. The successful candidate will support teaching and learning across the age and attainment range at both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing individualized support to students, including those with special educational needs (SEN).
  • Assisting teachers in the delivery of lessons and classroom activities.
  • Supporting students' educational, emotional, and social development.
  • Helping to prepare and maintain classroom resources and learning materials.
  • Encouraging positive behavior and promoting inclusion within the classroom.
  • Collaborating with teaching staff and parents to ensure effective communication and support.

Requirements:

  • A recent graduate with a strong academic background.
  • Genuine interest in education and supporting young people.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or within an educational setting is desirable but not essential.
