Job Summary:

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with SEMH needs, promoting their emotional well-being and academic success.
  • Collaborate with teachers, educational psychologists, and other professionals to develop and implement personalized learning plans.
  • Assist with lesson planning, implementation, and evaluation, ensuring a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure seamless support and progress.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Relevant experience working with students with SEMH needs, preferably in a school setting.
  • Strong understanding of child development, learning theories, and behavioral management strategies.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, prioritizing student needs and well-being.
  • DBS clearance and right to work in the UK.
