Role responsibilities
The Senior Project Planner will work across a multidisciplinary team within the Infrastructure Directorate to influence the delivery of a large portfolio of high value projects, and initiatives that enables business critical improvements to the Bus transformation programme for Wales in line with Welsh Government policy.
Monitor the portfolio of projects and their progress by developing a master programme to ensure that issues and changes are captured and reflected on a periodic basis to inform the project teams. Review programme submissions by ensuring compliance to contract requirements, monitoring performance, and report variance from the baseline to provide feedback to the Project Manager. Plan and performance monitoring, schedule analysis, reporting and forecasting activities by being the point of contact to ensure successful project delivery. Implement programme governance by establishing the IMS structure in line with the agreed work breakdown structure to ensure the scope is identified and managed.Who we’re looking for
Hold a project management qualification such as APM or PRINCE2 or similar. Demonstrable experience in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project, with analytical and computing skills. Demonstratable experience of establishing an integrated master schedule for a complex project or programme of works. Demonstrable experience of being able to develop, progress, maintain and interrogate programmes. Demonstrable experience and knowledge of using NEC form of contracts, as well as the assessment of delays.Welsh Language Skills
The ability to speak/write Welsh would make a great addition to your application, but it is not essential for this role.
