Maternity/Neonatal Lead for WH Maternity/Neonatal Voices Partnership

Job summary
The MNVP Maternity Lead/Neonatal Lead role is to act as a conduit linking the thoughts and feelings of service users to staff across the ICB via the LMNS who can enable change and escalate concern to relevant organisation. The MNVP Lead is responsible for delivering the agreed objectives of the MNVP as set out in the annual workplan and is expected to use their influence to drive the delivery of highly effective and visible outcomes. The lead will ensure that the MNVP is represented at local, regional and national maternity and neonatal meetings and events and provide independent challenge and scrutiny based on evidence gathered from parents/carers and professionals from the projects. The post holder will assist professionals to identify and engage with pregnant women/service users, parents and their families at every level of change to enable authentic co-production. The post holder will support the LMNS and their Trust to ensure that their workstream of programmes are planned and managed effectively and take the lead in assisting in their successful delivery.This will be a job share position where one role will be maternity lead and the other being the neonatal lead. The hours will be split between the two roles and the recommended split would be 30 hours per month for the maternity lead and 15 hours per month for the neonatal lead. Main duties of the job
The post holder will support the LMNS and their Trust to ensure that their workstream of programmes are planned and managed effectively and take the lead in assisting in their successful delivery. Be the main contact person for initial enquiries and delegation of work to the MNVP members. The MNVP Maternity Lead/Neonatal Lead will build strong influential relationships with providers, commissioners and local system partners at all levels, to ensure the voices of families are heard. Seek to recognise, understand and feedback the voices of families to influence quality, safety and productivity of maternity and neonatal services. Especially those voices of marginalised and disadvantaged groups and communities to ensure accessibility of all services. Act as a leader for change and a critical friend to professionals to ensure all activities and plans are effective, in line with current evidence and reflective of feedback gained through engagement with service users. Recruit/induct volunteer service users and ensure they have access to appropriate training in order for the MNVP to deliver the agreed workplan. Attend and chair formal MNVP meetings (no fewer than 4 a year) and ensure all stakeholders can contribute to this meeting. To be aware of national reports, guidance, and policy to ensure work locally aligns and delivers the required outcomes.

Knowledge, Training and Experience
Essential
Recent or current service user to maternity and/or neonatal services within the last two years or post - graduate degree in Management Studies or equivalent Significant experience of successfully operating in a politically sensitive environment Demonstrated experience of co - ordinating projects in complex and challenging environments including working with a wide range of people from different backgrounds and organisations to influence, plan and implement a programme of transformation and quality improvement work. Experience of managing risks and reporting Proven ability to work under pressure, prioritising workloads and meeting deadlines Experience of monitoring budgets and business planning processes Understanding of the public sector Experience and/or understanding of national, regional and local drivers for transformation and quality improvements across maternity and neonatal services
