The role:

An exciting opportunity to join British Airways as an Operations Sustainability Manager on an 18-month FTC has arisen

Reporting to the Head of Sustainability Transformation & Delivery, you will be responsible for the development and improvement of Sustainable Operations by embedding sustainable policies, process and procedures through analysis, collaboration and stakeholder advocacy.

What you’ll do:

Lead the research and identification of opportunities to support the continuous improvement of sustainable climate & environmental performance across operational areas and subsidiaries. Drive delivery of sustainability initiatives across operations supporting the process from inception to benefit realisation. Investigate operational sustainability challenges and develop effective solutions. Reviewing data, strategies & departmental insights to directly contribute to and improve upon British Airways & IAG sustainability targets.

What you’ll bring to British Airways:

A creative, yet strategic approach to planning, project and process management. Strong analytical skills and able to interpret large data sets. Ability to work at pace in an ambiguous environment, good with process, with a bias towards execution. Excellent communication skills and able to constructively challenge and influence at all levels.

Your experience:

Proven track record of establishing relationships to deliver improvements is essential. Experience of leading a large- scale change programme is essential. Knowledge of aircraft operations and planning is desirable. Qualification and/or experience in a relevant field. Environmental qualifications and experience would be advantageous.
