Sodexo has a great opportunity for an experienced Front of House Supervisor/ Chef Manager to join our established team working with our prestigious clients based in Cambridge.

Joining our team at their large site, you will provide a professional catering service, ensuring that company standards are maintained and that Client expectations are met within the agreed objectives for the location and be responsible for the day to day running of the café/restaurant department to ensure that it effectively meets the need of the location and client, ensuring that customers are given a prompt and efficient service whilst expectations are consistently exceeded.

The Front of House Supervisor will work in conjunction with the chef manager and executive chef to count stock, place orders, control waste, monitor sales trends and assist with marketing, with training provided.

You will control and achieve agreed financial targets whilst maximising all commercial opportunities to develop and evolve all client services of the café/restaurant department, ensuring regular adjustments and improvements are both recommended and implemented whilst ensuring that the location meets statutory and company requirements of Health & Safety, Food Safety and environmental legislations and procedures.

Experience and knowledge requirement for this role: 

Essential

•      Successful Hospitality background in catering

•      Good standard of second education

•      Excellent Management experience

•      Excellent understanding of report writing and financial management

•      Experience in training in presentation and negotiation skills

Qualifications required:

•      NVQ3/BTEC/City & Guilds/HND/Degree or equivalent

•      Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate or above

•      Food Safety Qualification

•      Health & Safety Certificate
