JobOverview:

As the TransportContract Manager at Kinect Services you will play a pivotal role inmanaging and enhancing transport assistance for both the AdultSocial Care (ASC) and Special Educational Needs (SEN) markets. As anaturally analytical thinker you will leverage your ability to planroutes efficiently and effectively to maximise contract performancepassenger safety and resource utilisation whilst collaborating withcontractors clients stakeholders and other council departmentsconducive to the delivery of a highquality and costeffectivetransport solution.

You will ensure that ourtransport services support the educational and wellbeing needs ofAdult Social Care and SEN Service Users contributing to thesuccessful financial management of the service within statutoryrequirements.

KeyResponsibilities:

  • Overseethe daytoday operations of ASC and SEN transport contracts ensuringthe safe efficient and effective resource allocation through thedelivery of transport.
  • Manage a dedicated teamincluding a Transport Planner and Planning and Dispatch Coordinatorfostering a culture of high performance continuous improvement andteam development.
  • Budget and ResourceOptimisation: Key contributor to managing the transport budgetidentifying costsaving opportunities while maintaining high servicequality. Ensure optimal resource utilisation to support dailyoperations and future serviceexpansions.
  • DataDriven Decision Making: Employdata analysis to track service performance guiding informeddecisions that foster continuous serviceimprovement.
  • Future Service Expansion: Activelyparticipate in strategic planning for potential service expansionsensuring new initiatives are viable and aligned with theorganisations mission and objectives.
  • Developand maintain robust administrative systems and processes foroptimal service delivery ensuring compliance with all relevantregulations and standards.
  • Act as the mainpoint of contact for internal and external stakeholders providingexpert advice and fostering professional relationships to enhanceservice delivery.
  • Proactively manage and reviewtransport contracts and budgets ensuring costeffectiveness andvalue for money while maintaining high servicestandards.

PersonSpecification:

  • Demonstrableexperience in managing transport services including route planningstaff budget and contract management.
  • Strongleadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and promoteteam cohesion.
  • Excellent organisational andproblemsolving skills with the ability to manage multiplepriorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Effectivecommunication and interpersonal skills capable of building strongrelationships with a variety ofstakeholders.
  • Commitment to deliveringhighquality clientfocused transportsolutions.
  • Proficiency in IT systems relevantto transport planning andmanagement.

Qualifications:

  • Degreelevel education or equivalent.
  • Desirable:Relevant professional qualifications in Business &Administration IT orLeadership.
