About Us

We are a dynamic organisation committed to providing exceptional support to the people we support. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for those we serve by fostering independence, social engagement, and personal growth. We believe in creating a supportive and enjoyable environment where both the people we support, and staff can thrive.

The Role

As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting a young and energetic individual who loves to be active and engaged in various community activities. This is not your typical support worker role –this woman is full of life and enjoys a wide range of activities, from going swimming, visiting local attractions, attending social events, to simply exploring new hobbies and interests.

Key Responsibilities:

Accompany and support this woman in participating in community activities such as swimming, bowling, visiting the beach, and trampolining. Engage in arts and crafts, watching movies, listening to music on the iPad, singing nursery rhymes, and other fun activities at home. Assist with developing new skills and hobbies, encouraging her interests, and fostering independence. Provide day-to-day assistance with tasks as needed, ensuring her well-being and safety during outings and home activities. Facilitate social interactions and help build meaningful relationships within the community.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking individuals who are enthusiastic, compassionate, and dedicated to making a positive impact. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualities:

A vibrant personality with a genuine love for engaging in a variety of activities. Ability to interact effectively with the person we support and her family. A caring nature with the ability to provide patient and understanding support. Consistent and dependable, with a strong work ethic. Willingness to adapt to the woman’s schedule and interests.

Benefits - Our sector-leading benefits package really builds up.

We offer 30 days annual leave pro rata with the option to buy and sell leave. If you refer a friend to us and if they’re successfully employed, you’ll receive a £200 bonus. We offer paid training and options to further develop your career through funded accredited courses. Bike to Work scheme and discounts on meals, shopping, entertainment, gym membership and mobile phone tariffs. We’re a values-driven organisation that puts people with learning disabilities and their families at the heart of everything we do. We care about our colleagues and are passionate about our comprehensive well-being strategy and staff listening network. Dimensions are proud to be one of very few social care organisations that have been recognised by the Great Places to Work programme in 2019-2024.
