About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Female Support Worker to join our team at United Response. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support to individuals with learning disabilities, enabling them to live independently and make their own choices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support with Daily Living Tasks: Assist with cooking, cleaning, washing, and personal care to promote independence and well-being.
  • Financial Management: Support with managing finances, including budgeting and shopping.
  • Medication Support: Assist with administering medication and maintaining accurate records.
  • Wheelchair Support: Provide support to individuals who use wheelchairs, including transfers and mobility assistance.
  • Health and Well-being: Accompany individuals to medical appointments, support with health-related tasks, and promote overall well-being.
  • Community Involvement: Encourage and support individuals to participate in community activities, social events, and hobbies.
Requirements
  • Full Driving License: A full driving license is essential for this role, as you will be required to transport individuals to appointments and activities.
  • DBS Check: You will be subject to a full DBS check as part of the recruitment process.
  • Female Applicants Only: This role is open to female applicants only, under an exemption from the Equality Act Section 9 - Part 1 (A) as a genuine occupational requirement.
