 Wed-Sat/Thur-Sat 07:00 - 19:00 Sun-Wed/Sun -Tues 07:00 - 19:00

Our Transport Assistant Site Managers hold a key role supporting the Site Manager by overseeing the daily management of the Transport operation. It is their responsibility to ensure that all operational efficiency targets set by the Site Manager are achieved whilst identifying and minimising risk and maintaining full legal compliance.

You will maintain a safe working environment, setting high standards around safety, compliance and operational targets. Leading by example and building strong working relationships, you will effectively communicate your expectations to your Team Managers, coaching and motivating them to drive success with their teams, ensuring a consistent brief is delivered across the whole operation.

By working closely with Talent & Development and the Driving Academy you will ensure that all team members are trained to the highest standards in all processes and procedures and fully equipped to perform their roles consistently delivering excellence. By identifying personal development needs for you and your team, you will naturally identify opportunities for continuous improvement

This is a fast-paced, time critical operation; you will need to be resilient and able to work under pressure, utilising your experience to calmly analyse information to make decisions. By monitoring performance and KPI’s, conducting monthly audits and reviewing actual events against plans, you will implement swift and appropriate corrective actions in response to changing business demands and priorities. 

About you

Alongside your significant experience within operational transport, we’re looking for a strong people manager, able to foster a positive working environment and with a proven ability to lead a team and drive performance. You will hold a CPC in Transport Management and will be required to be named on the Operator’s Licence for the business.
