Role Overview:
As the Transport Training & Compliance Manager, you will assist the National Transport Development Manager in enhancing the skills of all managers within the transport network. A significant aspect of this role involves maintaining compliance with legislative requirements and O'licence knowledge across all sites. This includes ensuring roadworthiness, tachograph compliance, managing infringements, and adhering to drivers' hours regulations.
Your responsibilities will include monitoring changes in transport legislation, communicating these updates to all transport teams nationwide, and ensuring all staff are aware of their legal responsibilities. You will develop and deliver training as needed to ensure compliance, and you will oversee the Company's OCRS, reporting findings to senior leadership while regularly auditing transport systems to ensure adherence to regulations.
Collaboration:
You will be an integral part of the National Transport Development management team, collaborating closely with colleagues in Quality, Driver Training, and Talent & Development. Your focus will be on designing, developing, and delivering training for operational and fleet Transport Managers and Coordinators, covering all transport-related processes, policies, and systems.
Candidate Profile:
We seek a Transport Manager with a National CPC and substantial operational experience in a large, complex distribution environment. A strong understanding of transport compliance and systems is essential, alongside a commitment to continuous improvement.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented and methodical, with a proven ability to foster effective relationships across all levels of the organization to drive positive change. Exceptional communication skills are crucial; you should be capable of creating and delivering training sessions tailored to the audience's size, experience, and knowledge level, ensuring a consistent standard throughout the Transport operation.
