Main duties of the job

The Junior Sister/Charge Nurse will act as a credible and professional role model and encourage and empower other staff to develop both personally and professionally to achieve their maximum potential. Working closely with the haemodialysis nursing team the post holder is responsible for the delivery of a consistently high standard of care to meet patient needs and Unit objectives.
Demonstrating clinical expertise within haemodialysis in the assessment, planning, delivery of care using a holistic approach. The post holder must possess fundamental management and facilitation skills in order to co-ordinate and supervise the activity of Unit staff, promote multi-disciplinary working and foster a supportive, learning environment. To take a proactive role in producing accurate and complete records of activities and communications.
