Entain are looking to upweight the Global Head of Content to include Gaming as well. The key purposes of this role are to:

  • Lead the team in optimising Content expenditure across Entain globally; through the creation & delivery of short/mid/long-term value & commercial optimisation strategies aligned to the objectives of the business.
  • Replicate the long-term strategic thinking and approach that exists in sports content to gaming
  • Develop a clear and co-ordinated approach that allows Entain to draw maximum value from its approach to acquiring//building gaming content

What you will do

  • Own and embody the Procurement team’s values while growing capability and embedding best practise within the group
  • Play a key role in the Procurement Leadership team, leading the function’s strategy development, transformation agenda and driving acceleration of procurement influence & capability
  • Create & communicate strategies for identified procurement priorities such as SRM, Spend Management, Talent management, Demand Management & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Define plans & objectives for all Content spend by supplier, BU and geography globally - including International & Joint Venture activities
  • Engage & influence the global Content community, including Exco and Board, around business strategy and ensure commercial alignment
  • Create a Global Content strategy, ensuring commercial tension and a clear roadmap of activity & benefits
  • Financial reporting of cost improvement on a P&L basis, interpreting CAPEX, OPEX, depreciation and cash flow
  • Build a cutting-edge knowledge of the supply base, providing value adding insights to the Content community
  • Understand critical areas for Innovation and build a pipeline of opportunities to be shared with the supplier community
  • Identification of global synergies and content M&A Opportunities
  • Identification of revenue improvement opportunities
  • Using stakeholder and supplier networks, identify continuous improvement and step[1]change opportunities to improve product and service specification

This will specifically include:

  • Ratification of Content Romer benefits & review of opportunities to over deliver or accelerate benefit delivery
  • Provide strong & creative commercial leadership across all areas of Content driving increased value and cost reduction
  • Develop and conduct RFx’s for market activity, ensuring size and complexity are fit for purpose
  • Provide commercial expertise & market insight to matrix of stakeholders including Product, Trading, Innovation & Corporate Development teams
  • Creation and buy in of supplier management strategy to drive improved performance & innovation across the supply base
  • Build strong commercial behaviours in the team and wider stakeholders to support the delivery of improved outcomes
  • Becoming a key strategic business partner to the Content community with a seat at the Content leadership team’s table up to most senior levels
  • Maximise contract compliance and spend under management

Who you are

  • Do you have 20 years + Commercial/Procurement experience at management level
  • Exceptional commercial experience (including strategy creation, implementation, and benefit delivery)
  • Strong negotiation planning & execution experience
  • Thorough knowledge of Category Management approaches & techniques
  • Solid contractual skillset: Drafting and reviewing across different constructs
  • Experienced in building of digital, transformation & commercial strategies
  • Data driven analysis & TCO modelling to define optimal cost structures
  • Excellent people and influencing skills across all levels of the organisation
  • Team management & people development experience
  • A strong understanding of the varying content market types & dynamics
  • Commercially rounded, demonstrating comfort in all types of models & value (revenue/cost reduction etc) with experience in writing board level business cases
  • Graduate calibre with Bachelor’s degree in Business (or other related degree)
  • Post-graduate qualification (e.g. MSc/MBA) or a professional qualification such as MCIPS is desirable but not essential
  • Project Management qualification desirable but not essential
  • Technically and commercially astute
