ROLE SUMMARY:

As the Head of Faculty for Arts, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the department's strategic direction, enhancing its profile, and ensuring the highest standards of teaching and artistic expression. You will lead the integration and strategic development of the department, fostering an environment of excellence, innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Lead the strategic planning and development of the Arts Department, aligning with the broader strategic goals of Kings’ InterHigh. Foster an environment that encourages excellence in teaching, artistic production, and interdisciplinary collaboration among faculty and students Oversee curriculum development and review, ensuring programs remain competitive and relevant. Recruit, mentor, and support faculty staff, promoting professional development and excellence. Enhance departmental communication, advocating for the importance of creative and performing arts within the educational community and beyond. Serve as a central point of contact for faculty members, streamlining decision-making processes and improving coordination within the department. Implement regular meetings for information sharing, fostering a culture of transparency and open communication. Recognize achievements, encourage professional development, and create a supportive and positive work environment to boost morale and job satisfaction. Provide mentorship, advice, and support to heads of subject, facilitating a collaborative and productive relationship. Develop a strategic plan with clear goals, identifying resources, and devising actionable steps to achieve departmental objectives.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

Proven leadership experience in a similar role, preferably with online teaching experience, within the and /or fine performing arts educational sector. A strong background in the arts, with a comprehensive understanding of the arts. Demonstrated ability to foster innovation, creativity, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. A visionary leader with a track record of strategic planning and development. Experience in curriculum development, faculty recruitment, and professional development. Ability to advocate for the arts and enhance the department's international profile
